Collateral damage

Just strolling on the Spring board fair in Utrecht I noticed this beautiful work from Ahmad. This strong and at the same time vulnerable girl in her little red dress stayed with me and I was honoured that I could give her a place in my home. I experience the work of Ahmad as very personal and at the same time universal. His work -also his video-art and drawings- tell a story that gets under your skin and it moves me everytime. For me his work is responsive instead of reactive to the world. And that is what art should be for me. Thank you Ahmad for being a beautiful person and artist.
